Tiny pieces of coloured tissue are used to create beautiful works that look like brush and paintwork in this Japanese art form. Artist Joan King will be on site Saturday and Sunday May 31 and June 1 with many chigiri-e pieces for show and sale in the classroom.

On Sunday, June 1, during the Japanese Spring Festival, the Washi Chigiri-e group from the Edmonton Japanese Community Association will also be displaying their works in the Temperate Showhouse.
