Date Night at the Garden

The Devonian Botanic Garden would like to invite you on a date (we think your mother would approve)!

Bring your sweetheart or come with your friends! Stroll the Garden till dusk – it’s beautiful in the twilight! Add a different amusement every week (learn a tango, catch some live music, take in an outdoor movie). Share a bite to eat at The Birch Patio or bring a picnic, and you have all the elements of a great night out.

The Garden is delighted to be partnering with the University of Alberta Dance Club, who will offer a free dance lesson on select Date Nights. Bring your partner and dance “under the stars”.

Other Date Night offerings include live music, long table dinners, and other summer delights  – check this site often to see what’s coming up! The last Date Night of the summer will be an outdoor movie night on August 29. Bring a lawn chair and take in a recent hit on a big screen, beneath an even bigger sky.

All about the food: A date night without food is like a flower without a bumblebee! You can bring in your own picnic (no alcohol, please). Or, the licensed outdoor Birch Patio is offering a dinner special every Thursday night, along with other light fare. Dining is at one of the Patio’s communal tables.

What happens if it rains? Don’t worry, we have you covered. Entertainment and food service will be moved under shelter in our Pine Pavilion. Date Night will run rain or shine. However, in the event of extreme weather, entertainment may be postponed or cancelled.

$11 Adults / $6 Students / $8 Seniors / $8 Friends of the Garden/ $8 Garden Season Pass Holders
Includes admission to the Garden and entertainment. Prices do not include GST or food. With the exception of Movie Night on Aug 29, 2013, passes and coupons are accepted for Date Nights.
