Family Education Programs
Kids in the Garden Family Education Programs
Based on the the Devonian Botanic Garden's award-winning environmental education programs for school children, our Family Education Programs are designed to provide an opportunity for families to get out in nature together and learn some fun facts about the Alberta environment. Programs include hands-on, interactive activities, games for the kids, and a guided tour of the indoor showhouses, including the butterfly house. Children must have an attending guardian.
Fee: $18.50 adult / $8 child (includes admission to the Garden for the day)
Ponds and Frogs
Bring along your rubber boots for a fun program of pond catching! Get the chance to see frogs, fish and fascinating wetland insects.
Session 1: May 23, 2015, 10 am - 12 pm Course #FAM01.
Session 2: July 18, 2015, 10 am - 12 pm Course #FAM02.
Insects and Butterflies
Spend the morning catching different types of fascinating insects and learning all about their adaptations and life cycles. Finish with an informative tour of the Butterfly Showhouse.
